Fluenz French Software Review

French Classes - From Home!

Fluenz French
Fluenz French is unique in that it emulates the traditional classroom learning environment on your computer. Fluenz French focuses on one-on-one instruction from a tutor, Sonia, who teaches you through different exercises that are easy to follow. Sonia uses a lot of English to help explain and teach you French, and this approach is what many feel sets Fluenz apart.

Fluenz French Approach

Fluenz French uses a traditional learning approach – with an emphasis on listening, speaking, reading, and writing French. Oh, and let’s not forget lots of practice! The focus with is to get your speaking French quickly. No overwhelming you with grammar and rules – Fluenz gets you speaking French right away while gradually building your vocabulary.

The Principles of Fluenz French

What I really liked are the principles of the Fluenz language system. The first is that they use a real teacher – it’s funny how quickly you get attached to your French tutor Sonia. I think this approach helped me get more into the whole course.

The second Fluenz principle is to teach mainly in English. With some of the other courses out there, they try to immerse you in French – but that didn’t work for me. Fluenz’ approach made the lessons much less frustrating.

Finally, I loved Fluenz French because they really focused on French words, sentences and phrases that mattered. You won’t be reviewing the French word for zebra – Fluenz really narrows down what you learn to allow you to actually communicate in French!

Fluenz French – Great For Travellers

Because of that focus on developing your conversational French, Fluenz French is perfect for the traveller. Through a crystal-clear interface, Fluenz teaches you the basic French you need to get by – before moving on to the more challenging aspects of the language. This focus on developing the important parts of your French vocabulary is one of the reasons travellers enjoy Fluenz.

Fluenz French – The Final Verdict

Because it focuses on heavily on vocabulary and quickly preparing you for real French conversations, Fluenz French is highly recommended for travellers. Keep in mind, it’s not cheap – but if you’re looking for a French program to get your ready for your next trip to France or Quebec, I highly recommend Fluenz French.
